In their question, the 24 MPs of SYRIZA-PS refer to the strike mobilization and gathering outside the Ministry of Health announced by the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists
A question to the Minister of Health about the “maintenance of the clawback and rebate memorandum measures” which “equalizes and financially destroys the physical therapists contracted with EOPYY” was submitted by 24 MPs of SYRIZA-PS at the initiative of MP Rodopis et al. Head of Health Ozgur Ferhat.
The MPs state that “it is the greatest travesty for the government to celebrate the progress of the economy and the “conquest” of investment grade, while an entire scientific branch – the support of Primary Health Care – continues to groan under unacceptable and undemocratic measures imposed as extraordinary in 2013″.
“Tens of thousands of professional physiotherapists are obliged, due to the claw back and rebate measures, to finance EOPYY benefits from their own pockets” they add and note:
“According to an announcement by the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists, these unfair measures have cost physiotherapists since 2013 more than 180,000,000 euros, as a loss of income from the non-payment of accrued wages, while the suffocating mix of refunds (claw back) of previous years and withholding tax of 20%, makes the receipts of many zero!»
In their question, the 24 MPs of SYRIZA-PS refer to the strike mobilization and gathering outside the Ministry of Health that the Panhellenic Association of Physiotherapists has announced for Wednesday 25/10 and direct the questions to the responsible minister, Mr. Chrysochoidis:
– if it intends to review or abolish the clawback and rebate measures imposed by the memorandum surveillance, and
– if it intends to increase the budget for physical therapy, based on the actual needs of the insured, as they arise each year.
