They start tomorrow, November 1stthe courses at the Experimental Vocational Schools (P.EPAS) of the Public Employment Service (D.YP.A.) for the school year 2023-2024 and specialties in high demand in the Hospitality and Catering sector.

As stated in a statement, the P.EPAS operate in large cities of the Greek territory and support apprentices who show an interest in the specialties:

– Culinary Artisan

– Food Technician

– Hotel Receptionist

The EPAS Experimental program is a product of the synergy of DYPA, the Hellenic-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and INSETE and is oriented towards the provision of vocational training in accordance with the German standards of dual vocational training.

The relevant courses combine intra-school – laboratory training and the learning program in the workplace, in real working conditions (on the job training).

The theoretical-laboratory part of the training takes place in the school units of P.EPAS with a duration from November to April. Then, from May to October, the apprentices continue with the on-the-job learning program, which takes place in 4* and 5* hotel units in the Greek territory.

The benefits of DYPA P.EPAS apprentices are summarized in the following points:

– Five days of 8-hour work

– Remuneration with 95% of the legal basic salary

– Employment on purchase terms

– Enrichment of each CV with previous service in large hotel groups

– Postponement of conscription
