A fatal traffic accident occurred a short time ago on Monastirio Street in front of OSE, in Thessaloniki.

According to the first information of thestival.gr, the driver of the city bus lost control of the vehicle and went into the opposite direction, dragging vehicles. The city bus was coming from Vardari. The bus driver lost control and found himself in the opposite direction of Monastiriou Street, dragging at least two vehicles and the electric motorcycle, fatally injuring the woman who was driving it. The unfortunate woman’s death was instantaneous.

Three EKAB rapid response motorcycles, an ambulance and a Mobile Unit immediately rushed to the scene.

The driver of the city bus and the driver of a passenger car were slightly injured in the collision. The first was transferred to Hippocrates Hospital and the second in 424 military hospital. The driver of the sedan reported that he felt dizzy and had fainting tendencies.

The westbound traffic flow on Monastiriou Street has been opened, while the eastbound flow remains closed from the height of Michail Kalou to the height of Agioi Panton in order to remove the vehicles. The Traffic Police rushed to the spot to regulate traffic.
