The works are also in progress in other sports areas in all the municipal communities of Athens, with the aim of delivering them to the Athenians as soon as possible.
A total of nine basketball courts, in six open sports areas, are handed over renovated to the residents of Athens, after the completion of the necessary works by the Municipality of Athens.
These are the following:
- Two basketball courts on Lenorman Street and Platonos Academy.
- Two basketball courts on Sirakouson and Andritsainis streets, in the neighborhood of Prophet Ilias.
- Two basketball courts on Kavafi and Zafeiropoulou streets, in Agios Eleftherios.
- A basketball court at 18 Evelpidon Street, next to the Court of First Instance of Athens.
- A basketball court on Louisis Riancourt and Geroulanou streets, in Ano Ampelokipi.
- A basketball court on Lofos Lambrakis, in Neos Kosmos.
During the work – where it was deemed necessary – the following was done:
- replacement of headlights with new LED technology,
- installation of new lighting masts,
- placing new basketballs,
- rubber carpet reconstruction,
- graphing,
- replacement of fence nets,
- construction of an access ramp for the disabled.
Work is in progress and in other sports venues in all the municipal communities of Athens, with the aim of delivering them to the Athenians as soon as possible.
The project is implemented by the Organization for Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA) and is financed by the Region of Attica.
