Consumers who have purchased the mentioned product are requested not to use it
The Western Greece Regional Directorate of EFET, within the framework of the “Official Control of Materials and Objects Intended to Come into Contact with Food” Program, carried out a sampling – of a red melamine water glass No 59 -, which is produced and distributed by company EVIVAK SA, Thesi Romania, Inofyta Boeotia.
From the laboratory control of the 2nd Chemical Service of Athens of the State General Chemistry of AADE, the glass was found to be non-compliant with the requirements of the legislation, as specific migration of melamine was found in concentrations exceeding the maximum legislative limit for its use in contact with food and the stability of the material was found to be insufficient.
EFET asked the company that produces and distributes the product in questionthe immediate recall/withdrawal of the entire specific product from the market while the relevant checks are already underway.
