In his statement, the Ministry of Health describes the incidents of attacks against doctors and nurses as a disgusting, completely unacceptable and reprehensible phenomenon that can never be tolerated and under no circumstances Michalis Chrysochoidis.

“Violence against medical and nursing staff is a disgusting, totally unacceptable and reprehensible phenomenon that can never and under no circumstances be tolerated. He points out that “in cases where, despite the measures that all hospital administrations must take, there are such incidents of violence, the hospital administrations will support the victims materially, morally and legally”.

He also states that in the context of the political elimination of this negative phenomenon, a large public awareness campaign is being planned and will start soon, while “the tightening of the legal framework for the perpetrators is also being studied in order to stiffen the penalties”. “We are in touch with the Ministry of Justicein order to prepare a new or new regulations”, concludes the minister.
