A case of extortion against a 54-year-old man, which took place in December 2022, was investigated by Police officers of the Extortion Prosecution Department of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate.

For the case, a case file was filed against five people, aged 45, 31, 53, 47 and 36, for, as the case may be, the offenses of extortion, complicity in extortion, illegal violence, joint collaboration in illegal violence, robbery and insult.

According to the complaint, the incident occurred when the 54-year-old, who worked in a beauty services company, informed by the 31-year-old owner for his dismissalbut due to disagreements regarding the financial terms of his contract, she was attacked and threatened by her 45-year-old husband, who then physically took money from him, vehicle keys and various personal items in his possession.

Subsequently a 53-year-old man allegedly took the 54-year-old victim to his home in order to deliver what the perpetrators wantedwhile after their return to the company, with the assistance of the other accomplices, they forced him to sign his dismissal with favorable terms to the company.

The file will be submitted to the competent Prosecutor.
