Thus, after the four awards that our country won a few days ago at the Travvy Awards (Best Destination in Europe and the Mediterranean, Best Cruise Destination in Europe, 2nd Best Tourism Organization in Europe by EOT), its award at the GT Leisure Lifestyle Awards last June and first place at The Trazees Awards in August, she won two very important awards at this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards of the leading American travel magazine “Recommend”.

Specifically, it was named the 2nd (Silver) Best Overall Destination – Europe and 3rd (Bronze) Best Culinary Destination – International.

In the first category, the top position was won by Italy and the 3rd by Spain, with these two countries occupying the first positions, respectively, in the second category as well.

The Recommend Readers’ Choice Awards are presented annually to countries and travel/tourism operators and businesses around the world that have established themselves in the field of excellence, attracting strong interest from the global tourism industry.

The results are obtained after a relevant vote among the readers of the magazine, who record their preferences in a total of 12 categories, such as best destination, hotels and resorts, travel agents, cruise companies, car rental companies, airlines, etc.

The Greek awards were received by the head of the North American EOT Service, Konstantinos Harokopos.
