Rain and storms in many parts of the country until Monday afternoon
The Emergency Weather Deterioration Bulletin issued on 09-11-2023/1230 local time is updated according to the latest forecast data.
A. Today Saturday (11-11-23) heavy rains and storms are predicted:
a. In the eastern Aegean islands (mainly Chios – Samos), in the northern Ionian (Corfu – Paxos area), Epirus, the southern parts of the eastern Peloponnese and Kythira.
b. From noon in eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
c. From late at night in the Dodecanese.
From noon and from the west, the effects will weaken and will be limited to the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese where they will weaken on Sunday morning.
B. Southerly winds of local intensity 8 Beaufort will blow in the Aegean from the morning hours of Saturday (11-11-23) until the afternoon.
C. It is highlighted how from Sunday afternoon (12-11-23) until Monday afternoon (11-13-23) new weather system from the northwest with heavy rains and storms will initially affect western Greece and on Monday the eastern Aegean and Thrace.
