The services of a private individual with specially trained dogs will be enlisted by the appellate investigator investigating the case of the Tempe accident in order to exhaust every effort to trace genetic material and identify the 57th victim from the fatal collision of the two trains on the evening of February 28.

Initially, specially trained EMAK dogs had undertaken this specific procedure, however, they were unable to complete the task. So in the coming days he is expected to receive the order from the investigator, a private professional whose dogs are specially trained to carry out this mission. We remind you that a similar procedure with private individuals had also taken place in the spring when four Italian experts were called by the investigator to read the Intercity recorder after swearing before him.

The wreckage of the wagons is also expected to be moved in the coming days from where they are now at the site of the OSE in Koulouri, and to be placed in a specially designed area in Larissa in consultation with the Army staff.

It should be noted that last April there was a corresponding move to transfer them to the 3rd 3rd PEB, which caused the reaction of the Union of Employees of the Ministry of Health / General Administration of Larissa at the time. The movement was eventually abandoned and the issue of the transfer was put on the back burner due to the national and local elections that followed.

At the same time, in November, the results of the State General Chemistry are expected from the sample taken by the technicians in the previous days from the site of the collision. We remind you that the opinion of the family’s expert stated that the substance xylene was detected, which is used as a solvent in the chemical industry, but because its characteristics are similar to gasoline, it is also used in fuel adulteration.

The specific element, that is to say the detection of a substance that possibly played a role in the spread of the fire, is one of the constant issues highlighted by the Association of Relatives of Tempo Victims and which they directly link to the “bashing” of the area at the site of the collision a few days after event.

In fact, for this reason they are dismissing the Regional Governor of Thessaly, Mr. Costas Agorastos, with the information stating that at the first stage this issue is being dealt with by the Head of the Larissa First Instance Prosecutor’s Office.

So in summary, the next few days are expected to flow with the above actions while new prosecutions are expected at a later date. However, it should be noted that, according to information, the prosecutions that will be brought will concern executives of at least two organizations, one of which is expected to be ERGOSE for the implementation of the 717 contract.
