The operations are concentrated in two parks where the most incidents occur
The Police carried out special operations on Friday and Saturday in Agios Dimitrios, Marousi, Heraklion, Voula and Vouliagmeni for the prevention of juvenile delinquency.
According to ELAS, after collecting, investigating and evaluating data regarding recorded repeated delinquent behaviors with minors involved in specific places, the operations were planned and developed in the above areas, concentrating forces in two parks, around two shopping centers and in the surrounding area of the station ISAP.
These actions were organized both to prevent the occurrence of similar phenomena, and to more fully map the movements of minors in the disputed areas.
The trips were completed with 12 vehicle checks, 143 person checks and 14 juvenile arrests in the departments of the area.
Police officers from the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate, the North-Eastern Attica Security Sub-Directorate and the South-Eastern Attica Security Sub-Directorate participated in the operations, and from the O.P.K.E. and DI.AS.
As pointed out by ELAS, similar actions will continue in the field of preventing and dealing with the phenomenon of youth crime.
