According to information, the planning of the security measures for the anniversary of the Polytechnic includes triple police barriers, triple patrols and more controls. This plan will be implemented by at least 5,000 from all Law, Security and Traffic services. Of these, 1,300 belong to the 64 divisions of the MAT that will be available, while helicopters and drones will provide the image from the air in order to direct ground forces.
At the same time, the water-throwing vehicles of the police, the auras, as well as teams of the Special Suppression Anti-Terrorism Unit (EKAM) of the Hellenic Police will be on hand. In particular, the Aiantes will be in specific disputed points in case of incidents or tensions in order to use them as well.

Traffic regulations in the center of Athens and route changes in public transport are in effect due to the events for the anniversary of the Polytechnic University. In particular, due to the events celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Polytechnic and with the aim of the safe circulation of public transport and the traveling public, OASA made temporary changes to the route or transfer until Saturday 18 November 2 at 06:00. starting point of bus lines and trolley lines on streets surrounding the Polytechnic and throughout the city center, gradually and depending on the prevailing traffic conditions and the instructions and measures of EL.AS.
