The weekend weather is expected to be wintry several areas of western Greece and in parts of northern Greece, Crete, Cyclades and of Dodecanesewith the main characteristics of the reinforced ones northwesterly winds and with a significant drop in temperature.

The weather will worsen with rain and sporadic storms initially in the west, central and north and quickly in the rest of the regions, which will be strong in places from the early hours of the morning until the afternoon in the islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese and temporarily very early in the morning in Thrace. Temporary snowfalls are expected in the northern highlands and locally in the central highlands.

From the midday hours in western and gradually in central Macedonia the weather will improve, while in eastern Macedonia and Thrace the phenomena will weaken.
Winds: North northwest 4 to 6 Beaufort, rapidly strengthening to 5 to 7 and in central Macedonia to 8 and in the evening locally 9 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 06 to 15 degrees Celsius. In western Macedonia it will be 3 to 4 degrees lower.
IONIAN ISLANDS, EPIROS, WEST STEREA, WEST PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Increased clouds with local rains and sporadic storms, but from the morning hours in the north and from midday in the rest the weather will improve. Temporary snowfalls will occur in the mountains of Epirus.
Winds: Northwest 5 to 7 and in the Ionian up to 8 Beaufort, fast 6 to 8 and from the afternoon in the Ionian locally 9 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 12 to 19 degrees Celsius. In the interior of Epirus it will be 4 to 5 degrees lower.
EASTERN STEREA, EVIA, EASTERN PELOPONNISOS
Weather: Clouds that will quickly increase and there will be local rain and sporadic thunderstorms. From the midday hours the weather will improve. Temporary snowfalls will occur in the mountains of central Sterea.
Winds: West southwest 4 to 6 Beaufort, gradually northwest 6 to 8 Beaufort.
Temperature: From 08 to 21 degrees Celsius.
CYCLADES, CRETE
Weather: A few clouds that will quickly increase and there will be local showers and sporadic thunderstorms. In the afternoon hours the weather will temporarily improve.
Winds: Southwest 6 to 8 Beaufort, gradually northwest with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 16 to 21 degrees Celsius.
EAST AEGEAN ISLANDS – DODECANISE
Weather: Increased clouds with local rain and sporadic storms in the north and quickly in the rest. The effects will be strong in places until the afternoon.
Winds: South southwest 6 to 8 Beaufort, gradually from north northwest with the same intensity.
Temperature: From 16 to 21 degrees Celsius. In the north 4 to 5 degrees lower.
THESSALY
Weather: Increased clouds with local rain and sporadic storms. From the midday hours the weather will improve. Temporary snowfalls will occur in some places in the mountains.
Winds: West southwest 4 to 6 Beaufort, fast northwest 6 to 8 and from the evening in the Sporades locally 9 Beaufort.

In the Ionian and continental regions, except for eastern Macedonia and Thrace, generally clear weather is forecast with a few temporary clouds mainly in the morning hours in western and central Macedonia. In the rest of the country clouds with local rains and in the mountains of eastern Macedonia and Thrace temporary snowfalls in the morning hours, but gradually the weather in most areas will improve. The winds will blow northwest 6 to 8 and in the morning hours in the Ionian local 9 Beaufort. From the midday hours, there will be north-northwest winds of 5 to 7 Beaufort with gradual weakening and only in the southeast Aegean will reach 8 and locally 9 Beaufort.
The temperature will see a small drop mainly in terms of its minimum values and in the north-western continental areas there will be frost in places in the morning and evening hours. Specifically, in the north it will range from -03 to 15 degrees, in the rest of the country from 05 to 17 and in the southeastern island country from 11 to 19 degrees Celsius.
