Police arrested two men, aged 38 and 31 – The accused resisted vigorously during their arrest
They were arrested on Saturday night in Exarchia, by police officers of the Order Restoration Sub-Directorate, two men, aged 38 and 31, defendants for violence against employees, disturbing the peace, attempt causing simple bodily harm by collaboration, as well as for violation of the Arms Act.
In particular, according to the Police, the defendants, participating in 2 groups of approximately 40 people and having their facial features covered, launched attacks against platoons on duty in the area of ​​Exarchia, throwing stones, glass bottles, firecrackers and other objects at them .
The defendants they strongly resisted during their arrest, while during the arrest of the 31-year-old, people who were near the place of arrest, attacked again by throwing chairs, glass bottles and glasses against the police forces.
Those arrested with the case filed against them by the Sub-Directorate of State Security of the Attica Security Directorate, were taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
