The new digital job search platform of the Public Employment Service (DYPA) is fully operational (www.dypa.gov.gr/hotjobs) which concerns medium and large enterprises.

With the new initiative, which is part of a set of active policies and actions to boost employment, such as Career Days and counseling workshopsDYPA attempts to strengthen its mediating role in the labor market and to “build” a two-way and substantial relationship with the country’s medium and large enterprises, with a staff of more than 50 people, in order to achieve an effective coupling between supply and demand in labor market.

According to DYPA officials, the goal is its complete evolution from a benefit-based, bureaucratic organization, to a strong ally of citizens looking for work and businesses looking for employees with knowledge, talents and skills.

How does it work

Using the new digital platform is easy to use and friendly both for businesses and prospective employees. The process is simple and quick.

Specifically, companies have the possibility to register their advertisement for the vacancies they have on the digital platform, filling in the necessary fields related to the company’s brandthe number of staff employed, the address of the head office, contact information (person in charge’s name, phone and e-mail), the number of job vacancies and the specialties they are looking for, while they can also state if they are interested in being informed about the time and place of the Career Days.

On their part, unemployed or jobseekers can submit their CV at the click of a button, which will contain all the information about their level of education, their professional experience, but also their skills.

Subsequently, the Service Unit for Medium and Large Enterprises (MEMME), leveraging the know-how of its specialized staff and the database of resumes, undertakes the provision of personalized, quality staffing services for businesses, at no cost, with the aim of the fastest possible work integration or reintegration of the unemployed and finding the right staff for businesses.

In this direction, the choice provided by the platform contributes decisively for searching with filters depending on the level of education, type of employment, specialty and seniority of the prospective employee.

In addition, the possibility to search on the map of Greece is particularly usefulso that the experienced and properly trained labor consultants can identify the needs of businesses by region and cover them effectively with employees who have the appropriate knowledge and qualifications for the jobs offered.

It is noted that MEMME’s task is to undertake personnel finding actions by implementing pre-selection plans, with the main objective of recruitment, through a mediation process, which is designed and implemented specifically and individually for each company that seeks its services.

In particular, they are provided:

  • Detailed recording of the company’s job vacancies, such as specialties and required qualifications, by a specialized employment consultant for employers.
  • Researching suitable candidates through the network of jobseekers’ job consultants.
  • Pre-selection of candidates, through CV analysis and personal interviews.
  • Continuous updating, sending pre-selected resumes and cooperation with the relevant HR department of the companies.
  • Organization of Career Days, which offer the possibility of live communication and interview with a large number of candidates.
  • Follow-up of final selections and recruitments, data sharing and evaluation/debriefing of the process.
