Two people were killed in the morning, and eight were seriously injured in a gun attack at a bus stop in Jerusalem, according to the latest Israeli police report.
“Two terrorists riding in a car and armed one with an M-16 and the other with a pistol” opened fire on citizens waiting at a bus stop around 07:40 (local and Greek time), the police director of Jerusalem Doron Torgeman to reporters from the scene of the attack.
According to the police, the two perpetrators “they were neutralized by the security forces and a passerby”, with Torgeman specifying that they came from East Jerusalem.

the terrorists, who carried out the attack were relatives who live in Zur Bahar in East Jerusalem. Cartridges with hundreds of bullets were found in the car they were traveling in.

A large number of ambulances rushed to the scene, while police “combed” the area to ensure there are no other attackers.
Magen David Adom (Mada), the Israeli ambulance service, confirmed that the one dead is “a young woman of 24”.
US Ambassador to Israel Jack Lew condemned the attack. “Horrible terrorist attack in Jerusalem this morning. We unequivocally condemn this brutal violence.”
