Armed robbery involving an elderly American coupleIt took place in Skroponeria in Chalkida. The perpetrators injured the owner’s cheek and took the family’s dog along with the stolen goods.
According to information, the three perpetrators first breached the external fencing of the single-family house, then entered through the door inside the house where they found themselves face to face with the elderly owners and threatened them with a knife.
One of the perpetrators placed a sharp object in the neck of the 85-year-old woman and then cut her in the face.
The second offender she threw her husband down and after immobilizing him removed a gold chain from his neck and the wedding ring from his hand. The third robber searched the house, found and grabbed two cell phones and watches.
They also drowned the dog
The three perpetrators, leaving the house, grabbed the victim’s companion dog and, after getting into a car driven by their accomplice, fled in an unknown direction.
The shocked couple informed the police while reporting, among other things, to Chalkida Security that all three perpetrators were wearing hoods and masks, as a result of which they could not see their faces.
