From Friday, December 15, the festive opening hours of Thessaloniki’s commercial stores for the Christmas and New Year period come into force
As of Friday, December 15, the festive opening hours of Thessaloniki’s commercial stores for the Christmas and New Year period will come into force, according to today’s announcement by the Trade Association (ESTH).
During the pre-Christmas period, stores will operate as follows:
- On weekdays of the period 15-22 December they will remain open from 10 am to 9 pm.
- On Saturday the 16th of the month they will operate from 10 am to 6 pm and on Sunday the 17th of the month from 11 am to 6 pm.
- On Christmas Eve they will open at 10am and close at 6pm
- On Christmas Eve they will be open from 11 am to 6 pm.
- The stores will remain closed on Christmas Day, as well as on Tuesday, December 26.
During the week before the New Year, the opening hours of the shops are as follows:
- On the weekdays of the period December 27-29, they will remain open from 10 am to 9 pm.
- On Saturday, December 30, they will be open from 10 am to 6 pm.
- On New Year’s Eve, their opening hours will be from 11 am to 6 pm.
- The shops will remain closed on New Year’s Day.
- For Tuesday, January 2, the ESTH proposes “as is traditionally and customarily done, that the shops remain closed”.
