The minister clarified that the festive basket which will be valid from December 13 to January 3 it will contain lamb goat, pork, turkey, bun, king pie and chocolates.
The goal, Mr. Skrekas said, is especially for the prices of amnoerifi to be kept at low levels. “We will ask the supermarket chains that the prices be lower than last year’s Easter. We are in contact to reduce the prices by up to 10%” he said and added that the prices of lambs and goats range from 11 to 12.5 euros and the goal is to sell around 10 euros per kilo at Christmas.
Honey macaroons and kourabiedes remain out of the basket this year as well, noted and added that in supermarkets there are 1,286 products with low prices for six months.
With reference to the offers in stores, the Minister of Development underlined that a regulation is coming at the beginning of 2024 that will put an end to virtual offers.
