Apologizing, the trapper reportedly told the clerk:

“I want to apologize to society for my criminal behavior and I am willing to face the consequences of my actions but to the extent and degree of my actual involvement. I had made it clear from the beginning that my participation would be limited only to bank ATM explosions and that I would never risk the health and physical integrity of an innocent citizen. That is why the act in which I participated in this case file, as in the previous one, was held at specific times and in remote places so that there were no people. I would never enter the home of someone who lives with his family to commit any robbery.” He is also reported to have said that his actions were done “knowing that the bank money was insured and therefore would be returned just as the stolen cars were insured and their owners would be compensated”.
