The Ministry of the Interior and the Minister Niki Kerameos have already proceeded with the implementation of the law 5062/2023 on the “Selecting the Administrations of Public Bodies and Strengthening their Efficiency”.

Just one month after the passing of the relevant law and one month earlier than the institutionally prescribed deadline, as the issuance of the relevant act is foreseen within two months of the passing of the law, the Act of the Council of Ministers was issued by which are categorized the agencies that concern over 600 positions of Presidents, Vice-Presidents, Governors, Deputy Governors, Deputy Governors, Directors and Authorized Advisors in Public Sector entities, Public and Private Legal Entities.

The Agencies are categorized into three groups, depending on the scope and type of their responsibilities.

In the first group legal entities operating throughout the territory will be included as well as the 7 Health Regions. In total, it will include 190 positions of commanders, deputy commanders, etc.

In the second group legal entities with a special object or local action will be included and it concerns 270 positions, while the third group includes the country’s hospitals.

The selection process for Administrations is different per category, depending on the scope and type of responsibilities of the agencies.

Government priority the Health sector has been defined for which the first two calls for expressions of interest are expected to be issued, one for the Governors and Deputy Governors of the Hospitals and one for the Governors and Deputy Governors of the Health Regions of the country.
