This is what the Minister of Development Kostas Skrekas notes in his post on social media after the visit of Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis to the headquarters of the Interagency Market Control Unit (DIMEA) where he presided over a meeting and was informed both about the controls being carried out and about the measures to deal with illegal market practices.
As the minister says:
“I had the pleasure and the honor to welcome today, Monday, December 11, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to the Ministry of Development in order to be informed in detail about the important work carried out by the Interagency Market Control Unit.
We described the actions of our government to deal with accuracy and the important role played by DIMEA in this effort. Our goal is the de-escalation of inflation and the reduction of prices on supermarket shelves, combined with the orderly functioning of the market.
In a period of unpredictable fluctuations, we have taken a series of measures that stimulate competition, prevent profiteering and empower the consumer. DIMEA guarantees their seamless implementation and its experienced staff are a valuable help”.
