Aizomê
The Japanese restaurant, from award-winning chef Thelma Shiraishi, offers four shareable desserts for the occasion. The so-called green forest is made with layers of matchá chiffon cake with white chocolate mousse, cranberry and cherries flavored in umê plum liqueur (R$ 240; 800 g). The chestnut tree trunk is a chiffon cake roulade with chestnut cream and chocolate slices (R$ 280; 900 g).

Artisano Gelato
The artisanal ice cream brand, which only works for delivery, offers a special flavor for the date. Master ice cream maker Marcio Ohta created nocciolla gelato, made with Italian hazelnuts. Limited edition, it is offered in a 500 ml pot for R$74.

The Korean-inspired sweet shop, which has a physical store in Santa Cecília, offers a menu with ten desserts for Christmas. The cheesecake, the house’s specialty, is served with wine and fig compote (R$290) and matchá with strawberries (R$260). Another highlight is the caramel pie with pecan nuts (R$ 290). The options serve up to ten people.

Izumi
The house specializes in yogashi, the name given to Japanese confectionery with Western influences, and wagashi, which follows the traditional line of Japan. Simone Izumi prepares recipes that are not heavy on sugar to order for Christmas, in different sizes, such as the shortcake cake strawberry and whipped cream (from R$ 142) and the log, made with chocolate dough, whipped cream of the same ingredient, strawberries and blueberries (from R$ 145).

Caramel Confectionery
The pastry chef prepares the house’s signature sweets on a family scale. Among the highlights of the menu are the pie made with almond sablée dough, fig jam, pistachio cream, whipped cream and figs (R$ 240) and the chocolate pie with salted caramel (R$ 210). Entremets such as coconut mousse with fruit whipped cream and passion fruit jelly complete the selection. The desserts weigh 1.2 kg and serve up to ten people.

Run by partners Daniela and Mariana Gorski, the traditional confectionery launches a catalog with around 20 classic and new dessert options for the festivities. There are port wine mousses with fig (R$ 320; 22 cm) and coconut with mango (R$ 280; 22 cm), financier pie with red fruits (R$ 220; 22 cm) and the Christmas tree theme made choux pastry stuffed with brigadeiro (R$ 330).

The Christmas suggestion at the Rio ice cream shop is the ice cream pie that has a biscuit base, Greek yogurt gelato, filling and red fruit topping. Another option is mochacina, with a cocoa cake base, three layers of different gelatos, such as Belgian chocolate, and a crunchy coffee topping. Completing the creations is the lemon mousse, finished with house marshmallows. They cost from R$255 (12 slices).
