The Metro (Lines 1, 2&3) and Tram services were suspended shortly after 10 a.m. due to the work stoppage announced early in the afternoon by 6 STASY Workers’ Unions, although their work stoppage was deemed illegal after an appeal by the company’s management.

With its announcement, the STASY administration, sent at 10:39 pm, informs that the Metro and Tram routes were suspended after 10 pm and until the end of traffic and emphasizes that the company proceeded with all the legal procedures for the ensuring the running of today’s routes and avoiding inconvenience to the traveling public.

“However, due to a refusal to comply with the court decision, which deemed the work stoppage illegal and prohibited its implementation, it was not possible to continue the operation of the Metro and Tram networks. We apologize to the traveling public for the disruption and suffering suffered by today’s sudden strike mobilization” is noted in the announcement of the STASY administration.
