A new round of competitive mobilizations was launched this Wednesday afternoon by farmers from various parts of Larissa, who gathered at the Platykambos intersection with their tractors.

The basic demands of the farmers are reducing production coststo do all the required things immediately anti-flood projectsreplenishment of lost income and guaranteed prices for their products.

They also request that the District’s proposal for to build a water drainage pipeline to the Aegean so that their fields are not floodedbut also to do not restructure the existing crops on the plain.

The elected Regional Governor of Thessaly Dimitris was also present at the mobilization site Curette, who stated, among other things, that the Region’s proposal is “to grow Karla on public lands and become the channel that goes out into the Aegean to prevent any other case of flooding in the future and for people to start having confidence to restart their lives here.
