The 18-year-old allegedly told the Piraeus investigator that he had no intention of injuring anyone and that other flares were fired at the police officers
In front of her investigator Piraeus the 18-year-old accused of the attack with a naval flare against the 31-year-old policeman during the incidents outside the stadium has apologized since the morning Melina Merkouris in Rentis.
According to information, the 18-year-old allegedly claimed in his statement to the investigator that he had gone to the stadium with friends and his brother when at one point he saw a lot of people going out and out of curiosity he went out himself where he was approached by a person with full face hood and long beard and gave him a flare telling him to throw her away. THE 18 year old he also allegedly maintains that he had never used such a flare before and that his intention was not to throw it at the police officer.
It is noted that the arrested person is accused of moral turpitude, attempted murder, possession of explosives and incendiary materials, for an explosion that may result in a danger to a person, disturbance of domestic peace and possession of flares, while all the acts are with the aggravating circumstance provided for in sports law.
THE 31 years old police officer is in critical condition at Nice hospital and has undergone amputation of his left lower limb.
