Hellenic Train has announced that additional rail passenger routes are being re-launched on the network and there are modifications and changes to the routes of some lines
Restart today for passenger services on the Athens-Thessaloniki railway network, which had been damaged in the part of the Thessalian plain by bad weather Daniel and Elias.
According to the company’s announcement, from today, Saturday, December 16, 2023, additional rail passenger itineraries will be re-launched on the network and there will be modifications and changes to the itineraries of certain lines.
Specifically in the departments:
New itineraries in the Thessaloniki – Larissa section.
Thessaloniki – Edessa – Florina
New routes on the Thessaloniki – Edessa section and new bus routes on the Edessa – Florina section.
Athens – Lianokladi – Athens
Circulation of new routes with trains 520/521. Bus routes C120/C121 and C521/52 are cancelled. New route in the Lianokladi – Tithorea section.
Athens – Kalambaka – Athens
Routes 882/887 are cancelled.
Thessaloniki – Serres – Drama
New routes on the Thessaloniki – Serres section and local bus service on the Serres – Drama section
Alexandroupolis – Ormenio
Traffic of trains 1682/1683.
Alexandroupolis – Komotini – Xanthi
New routes in the section Alexandroupoli – Komotini – Xanthi
