Benefits paid today
Today, Friday, December 22, the regular and extraordinary benefits for the month of December, totaling 507,005,217 euros, will be paid, according to the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family and the supervised Organization of Welfare Benefits and Social Solidarity (OPEKA).
In particular, the following regular allowances are to be paid:
- Housing Benefit, beneficiaries: 244,976 – 29,704,339 euros
- Minimum Guaranteed Income: beneficiaries 204,179 – 43,782,754 euros
- Disability benefits: beneficiaries 183,173 – 83,560,063 euros
- Housing Benefit: beneficiaries 757-228,201 euros
- Homogenous Allowance: beneficiaries 5,687 – 200,296 euros
- Uninsured Seniors Allowance: beneficiaries 15,354 – 5,770,132 euros
- Social Solidarity Allowance for Seniors: beneficiaries 17,850 – 7,545,546 euros
- Social Solidarity Allowance for the Greek minority in Albania: beneficiaries 10,209- 2,549,654 euros
- Funeral expenses: beneficiaries 115- 91,275 euros
- Birth Benefit: beneficiaries 11,521- 11,566,000 euros
- Child Benefit: beneficiaries 736,904 – 160,937,490 euros
- Protected children of those who died in natural disasters: beneficiaries 10 – 10,000 euros
- Undertaking Allowance: beneficiaries 553 – 274,893 euros
- Personal assistant program: beneficiaries 500 – 385,875 euros
- Mountain and Disadvantaged areas allowance: 442 – 217,800 euros

In addition, the extraordinary payment of December 2023 for the “Vulnerable Households Social Solidarity Allowance”, after finalizing the number of beneficiaries, is as follows:
- Minimum Guaranteed Income, beneficiaries 204,329, amount 21,859,219 euros
- Disability, beneficiaries 170,531, amount 34,106,200 euros
- Undertaking, 95 beneficiaries, amount 20,200 euros
- Uninsured (1296/1982), beneficiaries 13,927, amount 2,089,050 euros
- Social Solidarity Allowance for the Uninsured, beneficiaries 16,991, amount 2,548,650 euros
- Child allowance, beneficiaries 736,904, amount 99,557,580 euros
Total beneficiaries 1,142,777 and payments 160,180,899 euros
