The new recruitments will bring to the streets of Thessaloniki about 50 buses that were not running due to a lack of drivers
Today, the first of the 150 who “passed” the relevant competition signed the contract by which they officially become OASTH drivers. As stated in today’s relevant announcement of the organization, all of the new “helmsmen” will be in their posts from January 5, 2024.
The new drivers are informed by the offices of the OASTH about the operation of the Organization, the bus lines and itineraries while they go to the train stations where they are shown the bus systems and get to know their new colleagues.
This process will be followed in the next few days gradually, so that from 5/1, the OASTH will run about 50 additional buses on a daily basis, which are currently immobilized due to a lack of drivers.
Welcoming the first group of employees, the president and CEO of OASTH, Costas Tagiris, welcomed them to their new professional “family”, expressing his joy because after 12 years there is a recruitment of employees in the organization, with procedures completed in record time . He also noted that in the face of the new drivers, the organization and the citizens of Thessaloniki see a serious improvement in the level of transportation in the city, with the routing of additional buses and the execution of additional routes.
