28-year-old Yiannis Orfanos, the younger brother of the newly married Dimitris who is seriously hospitalized in Gennimatas after the massacre by the two men from Albania on Saturday morning in Gazi, where they shot the group of Cretans, arrived at noon on Friday 22/12 in Heraklion.

The 28-year-old is now at home in Malia, while his 34-year-old brother is under sedation in Athens and their friend Franciskos underwent surgery on his jaw.

Speaking to Crete TV, Yiannis Orfanos said: “I feel lucky that I ended up alive and was not damaged. It is the worst adventure of my life and it will continue as long as my brother is in the hospital and it will be years before he is forgotten. We all have our minds on Dimitris. The doctors told us that he is out of danger but his hospitalization will take a long time. The doctors say it will take at least 10 days for him to wake up because he is under sedation. The love we have received is immense. They are incredible and have moved us.”
