“Homosexuality is an abuse of the human body that involves terrible diseases, such as cancer and death,” said Mr Seraphim.
“The problem of homosexuality is placed on a distorted basis. It cannot be a human right that is not inextricably bound up with human nature. As argued by Mr. Seraphim., “homosexuality is a deviation from human sexuality which is something sacred. There is no real homosexuality, it is an act. These persons transition to the other gender. It is not possible for a legal order to come and surround with authority, like marriage which is the procedure for the primary cell of life which is the family, this deviation”.

Asked about procreation by same-sex couples, Metropolitan Seraphim emphasized: “Procreation is an inevitable consequence of normalizing homosexuality as marriage. The goal is to consider deviation as normality.
