The Police arrested a 25-year-old car driver who, according to information, is allegedly responsible for the accident
Car accident occurred at noon on Tuesday (26/12) on the provincial road Veria – Sfikia, when a car fell into a cliff.
According to information, the car, in which two women were riding, the driver and the 74-year-old passenger who lived in Sfikia, ran off course and crashed into a cliff, a few kilometers before the village.
According to verianet.gr, the driver was the bride of the 74-year-old woman and they were returning from the Veria Hospital where the elderly woman had undergone hemodialysis.
From the fall of the car, the 74-year-old passenger was fatally injured, while the 50-year-old driver was recovered conscious and with minor injuries and fractures.
The two women were freed by the Veria Fire Service, with the passenger being taken to the Veria Hospital.
The Police arrested the 25-year-old car driver, who according to information is allegedly responsible for the traffic accident, while he was released a short time later.
An unconscious woman and another injured woman were extricated from an ICHE vehicle, as a result of it being diverted, and were taken by EKAV near Sfikia, Imathia. They tried 7 #firefighters with 3 vehicles.
