“I am writing to you at this time, about the crucial role that the fans will have in the future of Manchester United, recognizing the great responsibility we have towards you.
I believe we can bring to the pitch similar commercial successes as the club continues to have. It will take time and patience along with rigor and work at the highest level of professional management.
You are ambitious for the club, just like us. There are no guarantees in sport and change can take time, but we will be in this together and try to take Manchester United where they belong, at the top of English football.
I take this responsibility very seriously. Please note that, as with any deal, it is subject to the usual regulatory signature process and therefore we do not expect to speak publicly on club matters until after the deal has been formally completed.”.
