The body of Vassilis Karras arrived in Kokkinohori at noon and was accompanied his always devoted wife Christina and his beloved daughter Irene who were always by his side. In the small, picturesque church of Agios Nestoros, the exodus service was sung, where the Metropolitan of Eleftheroupolis, Mr. Chrysostomos, presided. The mayor of Pangaio, Vassilis Anastasiadis, at the funeral he delivered, spoke with words of emotion and love for the man who associated his name with popular music and the offering, the man who did not forget his roots even for a moment.
The house of Vassilis Karras, in the center of the village, was always open to all friends and relatives. Those who even had the opportunity to visit him up close, a few weeks before his health deteriorated, they were referring to the bravery with which he faced his illness.
