The 18-year-old perpetrator allegedly had problematic behavior who during a fight killed his 16-year-old brother with scissors inside their house in Nea Smyrni. In fact, in March 2022 he was arrested for robbery.
In August of the same year, the two brothers had continuous fights and according to reports there was a serious incident. They were then charged with violating the Domestic Violence Act.
However, the authorities are examining the environment in which the two brothers lived through the testimonies of both family members and neighbors.
On Friday, the apology of the 18-year-old fratricide
The 18-year-old requested and received a deadline to apologize tomorrow, Friday.
He was charged with manslaughter, illegal carrying of weapons and use of weapons.
The two brothers quarreled over a trivial matter, about a blouse. The 18-year-old then chased the 16-year-old into the house and stabbed him with a pair of scissors, seriously injuring him in the chest. The injured teenager was transported to the People’s Hospital, where he breathed his last.
“He is not a criminal, he is a child who needs helpfrom justice and society,” the 18-year-old’s mother emphasized in her first statements.
