Proposals for the financing of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Support Mechanism of the Central Macedonia Region but also a project to strengthen the digital infrastructures of public bodies of a local nature are included among the 1016 decisions of the Economic Committee of the Region taken during the second half of 2023.

Among them are also decisions concerning road safety improvement projects of the national road network of Central Macedonia with a budget of 42 million euros, but also the submission of a financing proposal for the supply of vehicles with anti-pollution technology for the provision of public service in OTAs of the first and second degree.

The Deputy Regional Governor for Finance and Planning of the Region, Athina Aidona, informed the Regional Council today about the relevant report of the financial committee, while pointing out that the committee has reached a very good level of operation and efficiency.

The regional governor of Central Macedonia, Apostolos Tzitzikostas, congratulated the Economic Committee and announced that he will join the Executive Committee in the new Regional Committee. The relevant ceremonies will take place on January 5.

Mr. Tzitzikostas referred, after all, to a series of unpleasant events, including the incident with the policeman who lost his life in Thessaloniki, and wished that the new year would be better for everyone.
