He stopped at the door of the large building and without getting out of his car shouted at the victim. The victim’s son and the company employee listened, but realized that the man who appeared wanted to say something to the 67-year-old, but not to kill him. In the dialogue that followed between the perpetrator and the victim, the former asked if he remembered him and told him that a few years ago they had a dispute over a field. The perpetrator had a single-barrel rifle in the car, which he picked up and shot the 67-year-old. The weapon reportedly had three cartridges, possibly nine rounds. One shot was enough to hit the victim on the right side between the chest and abdomen and fall to the ground covered in blood. The son ran towards the father, while the employee moved towards the perpetrator who marked him. He turned to the victim and as soon as he saw the carbine leave, the perpetrator rushed to immobilize him. The victim’s son tried the same for a moment, but the 88-year-old pressed the accelerator and escaped. The officer had managed to remove the weapon of the crime.

At the same time, the first information about the car and the description of the perpetrator enabled the perpetrator to be identified very quickly and just as quickly, less than an hour after the murder, to be arrested at his home in Leventochori.
