A spiral of Albanians with “headquarters” in Kortsa defrauding Greek citizenswithdrawing thousands of euros from bank accounts in Greece, was busted by the local branch of the Albanian police.
According to the announcement of the Kortsa police department, the masterminds of the spiral were a thirty-year-old man from Tirana and a 29-year-old man from Kortsa, while their victims in Greece so far amount to five thousand!
According to the Albanian police, the perpetrators promoted a software on the computers of unsuspecting Greeksthrough which they had managed to penetrate in their bank accounts and other personal data. Then, through virtual intermediaries, they withdrew sums of money from the Greeks’ bank accounts that ended up in unknown accounts.

The second mechanism for extorting money, the Albanian police statement says, was the approach and involvement of Greeks in cryptocurrency monkey houses.
The police discovered in the action center of those arrested in the city of Korça, 23 computers and other high-tech devices, statements with names and phone numbers of Greeks, fake bank transfer receipts and “Bitcoin” cryptocurrencies, etc.
These fraud facilities were managed by seven specialized people, who were arrested.
