The newspaper was under the direction of Spyros and Nana Doukas until the year 2011.
He “departed” from life Nana Dukeof the historical publishing family of the city of Patras, to which the newspaper “Peloponnisos” belonged for decades.
Anastasia (Nana) Douka was born in Patras on May 29, 1924, daughter of the founder of the newspaper “Peloponnisos” Charalambos Fragopoulos and Giota Athanasiadou, who after her widowhood in 1951 married Kostas Papageloutsos for a second time.
Nana Fragkopoulou married a second time in 1956 to Spyros Doukas, where in 1958 they had one and only child, a daughter, Leda. Little Lida would have no future, as at the age of 12 she fell ill and finally died in 1997.
Nana and Spyros Doukas ran “Peloponnisos” for many decades with the same principles taught by her father Charalambos and Dionysis’s uncles, Heraklis and Nikos, the founders of the newspaper. She deserved to live with the man of her life for a full 65 years together.
The newspaper was under the management of Spyros and Nana Doukas until the year 2011. Then Giorgos Panopoulos and Thanasis Lalas took over, and then it became the property of Mr. Theodoros Louloudis, until today.
The funeral of Anastasia (Nana) Douka will take place on Monday at 2:00 p.m. from the Holy Church of Saint Angels 1st Cemetery of Patras.
