Children should not go to school if they feel a little unwell even if the test is negative
Don’t send the children to school even if they notice a slight malaise and the test comes back negative, he recommends to parents the president of EINAP Matina Pagoni due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus.
The president of EINAP explained that in the first days the viral load is low and the test may be negative however, the child transmits the disease. “We have to stop the transmission”, he emphasized and added that there is a 40% increase in hospitalizations.
Regarding the situation in the hospitals, he noted that there is still no pressure in the ICUs, while he said that the incidence of influenza there are more and with more severe symptoms.
“Children who will go to school from today must go equipped with a mask and antiseptic. Open windows and not hugs and kisses,” he said characteristically.
Mrs. Pagoni also noted that this particular mutation does not cause pneumonia as it affects the upper respiratory tract. “Older people, in consultation with their doctor, should take the antiviral drugs” he said and repeated that the elderly and those with underlying diseases should get the vaccine alongside the flu vaccine.
