The General Air Staff released a video of the rescue of a 48-year-old hunter from Kissavos, an operation carried out yesterday by a Super Puma helicopter of the Air Force which transported him to the 110th Fighter Wing from where he was received by an EKAV ambulance.

At the same time, another helicopter Super Puma carried out on Saturday and Sunday a search mission for missing illegally entered persons, east of Rhodes.

At the same time, a Super Puma helicopter transported to Chios an injured crew member of the cargo ship “RESILIENT AFRICA” while sailing west of Ikaria.

In total, the flying means of the Air Force transported, during the festive three days of Epiphany14 patients – among them a child and two babies – from Aegean islands.

– An AW-109S helicopter transported three patients from Paros, Tinos and Naxos, to Syros and Elefsina.

– An AW-109S helicopter transported a patient from Naxos to Syros.

– A C-27J aircraft transported a patient from Karpathos to Rhodes.

– A C-27J aircraft transported a patient from Ikaria to Eleusis.

– An AW-109S helicopter transported a newborn from Paros to Elefsina.

– A C-27J aircraft transported a patient from Karpathos to Athens International Airport “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

– A C-27J aircraft transported an infant from Kos to Elefsina.

– A C-27J aircraft transported two patients from Lemnos and Mykonos to Elefsina.

– A C-130 aircraft transported a patient from Skyros to Elefsina and

– A Super Puma helicopter transported a child from Amorgos to Elefsina.

Completed 34.8 flight hours in 11 missions.
