The situation in Syntagma remains electrified – All roads around Syntagma Square are closed
There was tension a while ago during the all-education rally at Syntagma where the march of students, university students and students participating in the rally against the establishment of private universities ended.
A group of students mobilized towards the MAT squad in front of the monument to the Unknown Soldier, shouting slogans. The members of the MAT repelled them using chemicals and with their shields.
The situation in the Constitution remains electrified.
All roads around Syntagma Square are closed.
Traffic regulations are in effect in the center of Athens due to the university rally in Propylaia
There is increased vehicle traffic on the surrounding roads.
According to Dimitris Koliomichalis, the roads with the most traffic are the following:
- University
- Vas. Amalias
- Vas. Sofias to the Parliament
Similar demonstrations are taking place in other cities.
Support and active participation in the mobilizations have been announced by OLME, IOE and ADEDY.
At the same time, the Student Struggle Front (SSU) reported that 115 student associations have decided to occupy their School.
