Drafts of the script for the two finale episodes of the fourth season were recovered in 1998 by a member of staff at Fountain Studios, Wembley, where the two episodes were filmed.
By pure luck they were saved from the trash and not destroyed in order to not leak the end of the season.
The unnamed employee at Fountain Studios had kept the scripts in a drawer by his bed and forgotten about them, until he cleaned out and found them again.
Now, the Ross wedding script is being auctioned by Hanson Ross on January 12 and is expected to fetch between £600 and £800.

However, the final sale price may ultimately be higher as Friends fans number in the millions around the world and interest in “Friends” has been rekindled after the death of Matthew Perry, the beloved “Chandler Bing”, 2 months ago.
