The allocation of 1 million euros for the needs of the two pediatric hospitals Agia Sophia and Aglaia Kyriakou was decided by the Floga association
The mood one million euros for the modernization of the therapeutic and diagnostic equipment in the two pediatric hospitals of Athens, Agia Sophia and Aglaia Kyriakou, decided the Board of Directors of Flogas, Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease.
As stated in the Association’s announcement, the Ministry of Health has been informed about this with a letter to the Deputy Minister of Health, Marios Themistokleous, with a notification to the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis. According to the letter, the Association has supported the two pediatric hospitals, through donations that have exceeded 6 million euros from 2010 to date, and requests the ministry’s permission to contact the directors of the departments “that mainly care for children with cancer (radiotherapy, surgeries, pathological anatomy, intensive care, medical imaging departments, etc.), to learn about their needs and to proceed with the supply of modern medical equipment, with the sole aim of improving the services provided”.
“The support of the world enables us to financially support the care of the child at all levels, and for this reason we have to inform about the disposition of the donations we receive” the announcement states.
