Convoys from dozens of tractors, that started honking from the Block of Nice, arrived in the center of Larissa, on Friday afternoon as reported by onlarissa.gr.
The first tractors with the farmers are already gathered in the Central Square, making their presence felt with repeated honking. The rally is attended by farmers from all blocs of Thessaly.
The farmers of Egialia continue their mobilizations today, the fifth day, on the Meganitis bridge, with a two-hour blockade of the old national road from 5 to 7 in the afternoon, as every day since the beginning of the week.
The government is already receiving and will continue to take a number of measures to support agricultural income, said government spokesman Giannis Oikonomou, responding to Alexis Tsipras and what he said from Argolida about the difficulties faced by farmers. “Despite the very difficult international environment and the successive crises, the Government has already taken and will continue to take a series of practical measures to support agricultural income and facilitate the primary sector,” said Mr. Economou.
