Prosecutor’s investigation was ordered on the occasion of an event organized, on New Year’s Eve, by the youth of “Golden Dawn” (“Youth Front”), at its former offices, in the area of ​​the Thessaloniki Courthouse.

It was preceded by an online call of the organizers, in which – among other things – the following was mentioned: “Another successful competitive year is coming to an end and, as a Youth Front, we have every reason to be satisfied with the action and the work we managed to offer, under really adverse conditions ».

According to complaints from residentstorches and various symbols were used at the event.

Under these circumstances and after relevant publications in the press, the First Instance Prosecutor’s Office of Thessaloniki ordered a preliminary investigation to be carried out in order to establish whether a series of offenses were established.

According to the prosecutor’s order, the investigated offenses concern the criminal organization, offenses related to racist violence, violations of the law on flares, etc.

The investigation was assigned to the Department for Combating Racist Violence in Thessaloniki.
