In order to be informed about the process of awarding pensions, h Minister of Labor and Social Security Domna Michailidou visited today the Control Tower of e-EFKA.

The minister was accompanied by the organization’s commander, Alexandros Varveris, and the head of the project team, Michalis Kefalogiannis.

In the “Control Tower”, located in its “Green Building”. e-EFKA, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the monitoring of the flow and speed of pensions is granted throughout Greece.

Now immediate information is provided for all qualitative and numerical data related to pensions.

With the 24-hour monitoring of the system, e-EFKA has made a decisive contribution to eliminating the problem of pending pensions.

It is indicative that within the last 28 months, 750,000 pensions were issued, which in the past took up to four years to be issued.

The Minister of Labor and Social Security, Domna Michailidou, stated: “The “Green Building” of e-EFKA, the largest pension awarding center, is a model of organizational success and enables speed and immediacy in serving citizens. Thanks to intensive work over the past three years, the problem of outstanding pensions is on the way to a definitive solution. It is our duty as a State to preserve the important reforms that have already been made in recent years in e-EFKA, so that outstanding pensions do not accumulate again. So that the citizens never find themselves in the difficult position of asking for the self-evident, that is, dignity and respect for the years they worked and offered to Greek society. We are doing everything in our power so that e-EFKA continues to respond quickly and consistently to the needs of its insured».

The commander of e-EFKA, Alexandros Varveris, said: “Leaving behind the pathologies of the past, we plan for the day after e-EFKA. We have launched pillar projects for the evolution of the institution into a modern organization with the aim of the well-being of Greek society.

The digitization of the insurance history, the integrated information system, the addition of new electronic services are only the beginning for a citizen-friendly e-EFKA, flexible and adapted to the dynamic requirements of the modern era”.
