A few days ago, the news that they were stolen had caused a sensation, but also indignation about 8,000 books from the Secondhand Bookshop of the Homeless.
This news raised the awareness of the Municipal Authority of Vrilissi, which decided to proceed with an action to collect books and then offer them to the Old Bookstore of the Homeless.
In this context, the Deputy Mayor of Social Policy and Primary Health of the Municipality is proceeding with the organization of the gathering of Greek and foreign language books, which will take place from Monday 22/1 to Friday 26/1 (10:00-13:00) in the area of ​​the deputy mayor’s office, on ave. Pentelis 62.
“A few days ago, unknown people stole about 8,000 books from the Old Homeless bookstore, creating a serious problem in a structure that supports our fellow human beings in need. We invite our fellow citizens to offer books related to Greek and foreign language literature, education, theater, culture, poetry, etc., in order to support our homeless fellow citizens”, the relevant announcement states, among other things.
