Today, Tuesday, it is expected to take place in Patras the forensics examination of the body of 31-year-old Babis, who was found yesterday, almost after 20 days, in a swampy area with reeds, east of his lagoon Messolonghi.

THE body he was found by the dog that takes part in the investigations in advanced sepsis and was identified by the clothes he was wearing but also by some features.

According to information, the body of the 31-year-old brought injuries from shotgun and was found in a prone (face down) position.

At the time the body was found, he was apologizing to the Messolonghi courts 50 years old butcher, who was finally judged under arrest.

The suspect reportedly stood by his allegations and did not confess to the murder.

Upon hearing the news about Babi’s body, his mother and sister collapsed.

What will the forensics show?

In particular, according to information, the conclusion of the forensic examination will definitively determine whether the man’s death was caused by the shots he received, or by suffocation after the shots.

Specifically, it will be clarified whether the man was shot where he was found dead, or at another point and then taken to the marshy area where his body was found.

As far as the official identification of the body is concerned, it is expected to be done at the forensic service of Patras, both through identification by relatives and through the examination of genetic material.

The area where the body was found remains cordoned off by the Police, in order for it to be thoroughly investigated, in order to identify any findings that will help the investigations, such as, for example, genetic material.

At the same time, a weapon and a mobile phone are being searched for, while the video footage available to the police will be re-examined.
