From next Tuesday, January 30, the implementation of 819 Training Programs for Young Farmers, lasting 150 hours each, will begin.
As announced by the Ministry of Agricultural Development and Food, 14,627 beneficiary Young Farmers from all Regions of the country will participate in the training, as part of the implementation of the Program: “Training and Skills Development Actions for young farmers and small farms”, for the beneficiaries of the 3 Proclamation of sub-measure 6.1 “Establishment of Young Farmers” of the Rural Development Program (RDP) of Greece 2014 – 2020″.
The programs will be divided into three main categories: Plant production, Animal production and Beekeeping and the total budget of the Act is 14,295,950 euros.
The distribution of the beneficiaries based on the direction of their agricultural holding is:
* Plant Production: 9,963 beneficiaries
* Livestock Production: 3,867 beneficiaries
* Beekeeping: 897 beneficiaries
According to the same announcement, the programs will take place in the 38 agricultural training structures, the “DIMITRA” Centers of the Organization, which have modern logistical infrastructure and equipment, and trainers from the updated Register of Adult Trainers of ELGO-DIMITRA will participate in their implementation. , who are certified for their scientific knowledge, professional experience and are able to successfully meet the learning objectives.
It is noted that the duration of the programs amounts to 150 hours, of which 30 hours concern practical training in the field.
In the first implementation phase, the training programs will take place between January 30, 2024 and March 15, 2024 in the following areas:

* Messolonghi (Etoloakarnania)
* Heraklion Crete)
* Velo (Corinthia)
* Vardates (Fthiotida)
